Ok so a few days ago my sound started to be affected by some sort of really annoying interference. It sounds like, from searching the internet, that it is likely that it is an electromagnetic interference caused by coil whine. I am using onboard sound (realtek HD audio on ASUS z77 V-LK) Here are the symptoms:

1) slight buzzing sound when moving cursor at desktop with no 3D apps running. When running 3D apps, it seems to get worse based upon my GPU usage (example frame changes when looking at different things in-game). My friends say that the interference is coming through my mic. I looped the microphone audio to playback and it is indeed loud and annoying. The mic interference is the same sound I hear through headset, only louder.

2) Put my head as close to the PSU and GPU and I could just barely hear a slight buzzing, or humming sound. Not sure if it is coming from PSU or GPU but it really sounded to be closer to the PSU.

Here is what I have done so far, but I have not eliminated the problem:

Slightly overclocked the GPU and tested it in-game. I also tested by limiting the frames via EVGA Precision X to 120 and unlimited. When I used 120 max fps, the sound was less prominent and was overall quieter. When it was unlimited (200-300 fps CS GO) the sound was louder, as before. I also changed my power settings in control panel from "high performance" back to balanced and it seemed to help some with the noise.

I still cannot reduce the mic buzzing, humming to a level that isn't annoying. I use mumble and my friends say that it is really annoying to listen to, therefore I would really appreciate if anyone could help me reduce or resolve the issue.

Here is a list of my hardware:

Evga 650W gold PSU
ASUS z77 v-lk mobo
Intel 3570k @stock with hyper 212 evo
Gigabyte Windforce GTX680
16GB g-skill @1600 (2x8 in dual channel)
Crappy Vizio TV until i can afford a nice 120+Hz monitor

All plugged into a surge protector that I believe is grounded. If there is anymore information that I could post that would help in resolving the issue, please just ask me and I will try to provide it.
