my fx 6300 processor is running at 72 celsuis.But I am running at stock speed and with stock cooler.why the temperature is so high even though no overclock ? what would be the maximum temperature of this fx 6300 processor ?

I use one cabinet fan from cool master.

That could be for a number of reasons such as not enough or not applied correctly thermal paste. Poor air flow circulation inside of your case or there could be due to dust collection.

Like what @neieus has said, there are multiple reasons why your CPU could be running that hot.

With your description, I'd say it was the fact that you only have 1 fan working to provide air flow for your computer.

But other factors still could apply as well.

Have you overclocked the CPU at all??

But now I have no external thermal paste to apply on the cpu.when I install the cpu and stock cooler the thermal paste is pre applied on stock cooler from amd.

It could be a defective CPU. That's my best guess. Or maybe you're not looking at the right temp readings.

I would just look around the 72 celius is hot but not crazy you might want to look into another cooler and give it a shot the hyper 212 evo is pretty great. But try to reseat it and new thermal paste if it doesnt help then a new cooler.

On hw monitor are you looking at cpu or package because cpu is the socket and package is your cores.

I think your best bet is to reseat that heatsink with new paste.
