Good day guys, I have a question about XMP on the bios. . Its currently disabled but i have an option to put it on profile1 . . Should i do it ? is it safe? i dont want to mess things up. . I have a kit of 8gig (4+4gig) Gskill 1600 RIPJAWS . . This is my system if that helps:

Mobo: Gigabyte 970a ds3p
Proc; FX-6300
RAM: Gskill 1600 RIPJAWS

Im having some ocassional freezes on windows 7 64-bit as i read thru forums enabling XMP might help me but im a little worried. . I hope RAM experts would kindly help me, or a GSKILL Rep would be good as well.

As of now, no freezes occuring. . But i got 1 BSOD right after changing to XMP which is Service exception error . . would that be a bad ram? im having this occasional BSOD and freezing for like once every 1 week or once every month i cant predict what causes it . . Could it be a bad ram? i run memtest86 on both stick no errors on both. im running out of solutions that's why i tried this XMP.

Wait and see, something once a weak or so, may be a driver issue or even a corrupt Win or app file that is seldom used, can check for corrupt Win files by running System File Check, go to the command prompt as Administrator and run the command SFC /SCANNOW
