GPU, CPU, and Mobo compatibility

So, basically, I'm planning a build with an AMD CPU (8 core, 4.0 Ghz, 8MB cache, AM3/AM3+ socket), an MSI Radeon R7 GPU, and an AMD mobo (ATX, AM3+).

To my inexperienced eyes, everything checks out. That said, I only know the basics. Will this build work?

EDIT: Also, is the mobo capable of handling the CPU and GPU, or will it bottleneck?

Yep. I don't see any problem, you are in good waters. Just do not forget to buy a power supply that support your system, it must provide at least 500W, but 600W is recommended.

Not sure, don't know anything about it other than needing to get a bit more than the necessary wattage so I can improve on my build, getting a modular unit, and something with an 80 Plus efficiency tag. Is there anything specific I should look out for?
