EVO212 BF4 FPS drops

So i installed a new CM hyper EVO 212 yesterday on my AMD FX 8320 and its certainly quieter than the stock AMD heat sync however i usually get 60-70FPS on battlefield 4 but after installing this heat sync i get dips every 2mins to 30< FPS its super annoying. I'm not sure if it could be something to do with the thermal paste as this is my first heat sync install but I'm open to answers and suggestions

(CPU runs: 25C idle and 50-60C under full load)
Please help.

It sounds like you might not have gotten a good, solid seal between the EVO and the CPU. Could also be too much thermal compound between them.

You really want to use as little as possible and you want the heatsink tightly attached to the CPU.
