I am currently lookong for a new cpu cooler thats very quiet and keeps it fairly cool even with overclockings. I am lookin at corasairs h100i and ive heard the fans are kinda loud so if i get that i would just replace the fans.
Any other suggestions?
Thnx for your time

Yeah dont get it. its a $100 piece of garbage. Ive heard dozens of storys of them leaking and frying parts. id recommend a noctura it will do more for less money. If you really want liquid in your system for whatever reason then go all out and do a custom

I wouldn't say "piece of garbage" is fair, they are incredibly popular for a variety of reasons and depending on where you live they aren't all that expensive. Noise levels on these things (at least under load) are mainly caused by the fans rather than the pump, and these are replaceable and have a pretty big delta of noise levels depending on how fast they are spinning.

Having said that, if your goal is keeping noise levels down, it's highly likely you'll get better results with an air cooler than with a closed looper cooler, and at a lower cost.

you are right i was to harsh. its just not a good investment imo. for $50 you can get a noctura that will out perform it using less power.

What CPU and mobo, most closed loop LCs are on the louder side and many don't perform as well as the available air coolers

Then what is a very quiet air cooler that keeps the cpu fairly cool for overclocking

anything noctura. most people would agree that they are the best.

Anyother coolers?

What tradesman said is kinda significant, which CPU/motherboard (and which case you use) will have an impact on which coolers you can use.

If you want to keep the noise levels down then generally the bigger the heatsink, the better, but if your case can't fit it then it's obviously out.

Something like the Noctua NH-D14 or Phanteks PH-TC14 are generally considered best in their class, but they are very big and not cheap.

If you want silent and good cooling and don't mind paying a lot,
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk019

Look at some reviews for those two and keep an eye on the page in which they measure the sound that they make.

I generally use a number of of Hyper 212 EVOs great cooling and price (about $35) will be rather effective with say a 4770K (one of the hetter ones) up through about 4.4 24/7, Noctua and Phantek are also good and cost more, I've got a CM GTS V8 on my 4770K (@ 4.6 24/7 and is very good, and again a little higher, $90 for the last one I picked up for a client), all are quieter than most closed loops and can change fans is so desired

Are there any more that dont take up much RAM space because those coolers wont fit with my ram

The Hyper 212 EVO will, it's fan(s) are height adjustable, I've got 32GB of Tridents in my IB rig with an EVO (in sig) and 32 of RJ X in my SB with another EVO - no ill effects on cooling

These are imo better than the evo and won't crowd the ram slots. With the second one could you still add an extra fan for some better cooling, but it needs to fit the case becuase it's taller than most coolers.

Putting after market fans on the evo doesn't help from what i remember form reviews.Just keep the stock one then,or it must be about the sound of it,but given that you have to add the expense of extra fan(s) to it seems the thermalright macho a better option to me.

Just for yourself look at some reviews about it (=macho).
