i founded a lot of people said that don't get intel haswell on google....they said only slightly better than fx 8350 & more expensive & also less headroom overclocking....many overclocking intel haswell got unstable....is that true??
I would consider two tasks: multitasking. I'm sure RAM would play a bigger part in several Firefox tabs, but who's to say he won't end up running other programs alongside his games like Skype, or another game?
And wait, nobody asked what games he'll be playing. Which ones? That'll decide how much you should even be spending. Which does he care more about? Gaming performance or more tabs and programs running at once? If it's about 50/50 then either CPU will suffice.
i dont know where you get those info. but its not true at all and about overclocking on haswell is unstable is those people who dont know how to overclock. haswell cpu has only heat issue
I dont know about that its luck of the draw with overclocking some go higher than others . I would take a haswell over fx 8350 personally. They both have there strengths and weaknesses. I will admit that the fx is better value for money. But i like intel there sockets are better i find them to be more reliable as well especially when overclocked.

Dont get whichever is cheapest thats a terrible mentality to have when buying any computer parts do some more research and get whichever is best for what you plan to do with your computer.
i already decided to get i7 4770k tomorrow but after i search on google about unstable overclock & now i'm confuse...should i get i7 4770 non k or go with fx 8350, i'm lazy to get fx 8xxx is that motherboard is almost dead

I should have been clearer. I mean get which is cheapest between those 2 because the performance isn't that different.
General multitasking -> FX 8350 (more physical cores)
Gaming -> i5/i7 (better single threaded performance)
Multitasking might actually be just a bit close for both, but in heavier multitasking situations I can see the FX 8350 being ahead of the i7. Just my $.02

Having firefox open while in a game is not multitasking.
Another 2 cents.
@sunder25 ohhh realy i3 or fx 6300 would be enough to do that?? so fx 8350 or i7 4770k or even i5 4670k will be wasting money for gaming while multi tab browsing??
With most current games, save for processor intensive ones, yes.
IF you have money, i suggest getting an i5 though, it will play ANYTHING on ultra and will do so in the future aswell,-provided you have a good enough GPU.
of cours gtx 770 will be my favorite choise...coz gtx 780 in my country is hard to find....those r9 280x/290/290x also has many issue that i found on the internet and also difficult to find in my country...almost every shop in my country got sold out amd R9
