thats definately important, but which is better for overclocking? i keep hearing completely mixed things about this with these 2 boards. some say the asus board has more precise overclocking with its 6+2 phases and some say the gigabyte board overclocks better because it has more. also some people are praising up the ga 990fxa u5 like its the best mobo ever for its price.

Because ASUS has a better reliability record , but spec wise the Gigabyte should OC better.

I only build with ASUS NOW.

Asus all the way!!!

At the end of the day go with your own opinion... I hear some people say Asus reliability has suffered here lately but I still support Asus and their products. Well except for their graphics cards.... not for any particular reason though. Just there are better out there. They seem to do better in the motherboard area though. Also this Monitor I have is from Asus an its really good value :)

ive actually decided im going to get an i5 4670k, and with that I like the msi z87 mpower series. there is the mpower SP which is quite a bit cheaper. what is the difference between the mpower and the mpower sp?

I only use ASUS boards now , don't care for MSI or Gigabyte.
