Thanks for the replies will be using 3ds max, maya and all the gaming industries software for 3d modelling and animation and i live in the uk and will need a workstation for my university course and i am stuck on cpu and graphics card.

Are Quadro 4000s any good?

Not for gaming or rendering. The Quaddro 4000s are very outdated and have been replaced by the much newer K4XXX and K7XXX series. And for gaming you want a GTX.
