Is this a good solid gaming computer?

If I could improve this with different parts for around the same price could you please give me suggestions?


Processor Intel Core i5-4670k


Graphics Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X OC 4GB Edition


Motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty Z87

Memory PNY 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB) 8 Dual Channel Kit DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM MD8192KD3-2133-X10

Case Aerocool Xpredator X3 Devil Red

Power Supply Antec HCG-620M

Hard Drive Samsung 840.


This is my first build btw so I'm not that sure about the parts!

make sure it is the 840 evo or pro not plain 840. Also there are 780's and 290's going for around 450 if your card is in that range.

get some lower latency cas 7, 8 or 9 ddr3 1600 or 1866 and save your self some money. running faster ram will give zero real world benefit other than in benchmarks and the very occasional task such as compressing huge RAR files.

pc part picker has some cas 7 corsair vengance 1600 for £77
or
GeIL EVO CORSA Series cas 9 ddr3 1866 for £55 for 2x4gig...
both are better options than that pny ram.

true that, 2133 will give you no noticable edge over 1866, but lower timings on the 1866 will speed things up slightly. But cheaper
