Hey all,
What GPU should I get?

The GTX 650 TI 2GB:

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-2048MB-Graphics-02G-P4-2651-KR/dp/B00966IOYS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396725428&sr=8-2&keywords=gtx+650

The AMD R7 250 2GB:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127763

I may not get that exact card, but it will be an R7 250.

What should I get?
According to GPU Boss the R7 is better.

They tie here:

I will be getting the 2GB ver.
Most games to this date can not access more then 2GB of VRAM, so I do not need more.
I do not need the best GPU out there.
All I do is Photoshop, Lightroom and light gaming.
I do not have much money and I would like to stay under $130 USD.
I can NOT afford to get the best! :)

I'm getting a new PSU soon, so power is not a problem.

I have an Asus P5N-D MOB. It's not the newest, but it does the job. :)

If you can recommend a better card that fits under $130 USD that would be great.
Thanks! :)

Solution
It depends on the games you'll be playing:

Overall though, the 250X is a redressed 7770, so a little slower than a GTX 650 Ti, which is more equal to a 7790.

I would get the R7 250X, even though i'm more of an Nvidia fan. But, for this case, the Amd makes more sense

Yeah, and AMD cpus are really fast, but really cheap. I might change my build to an AMD themed one because they're that good. Bt, I work at intel, so I wouldn't want to upset my co-workers. BTW, what is your build?

It's a little old but it is:

Intel E8400 3.00 GHz with 6MB of cache.

Asus P5N-D MOB.

8GB of Kingston RAM with heat sinks.

Samsung EVO 840 SSD.

WD 500GB HDD.

WD 80GB HDD

HAF 912 case (tons of cooling)

PSU to come.....

Windows 7 64-Bit

Yeah, i would definitely upgrade to haswell and some asus mobo. Also, save enough money to get a 770 or 780, or an AMD card

Do you really think the extra $50 for the GTX 650 is worth it?
Anything is better then my GPU right now. Even the GT 640!

As of March 4th (the most recent review at TPU), the GTX 650 Ti was nearly the #1 bang for the buck card you can buy.

According to the chart, the difference is more like 17%. The GTX 750 is more like 25% faster for $120 and uses half as much power.

I think it's the 750 Ti you're refering to.

What exactly is that chart alleging to illustrate?

Are you sure you're responding to the correct thread? This one is comparing an AMD 250 to a GTX 650 Ti.
