Trying to do new install of windows 8.1 on GM5259E with Intel motherboard E210882. After installing on first boot it goes to choose cd boot 1 or 2, I have boot sequence to boot to hard drive first and DVD drive second. I can not get past the choose cd boot 1 or 2. If I choose 1 it starts the install all over and if I choose 2 it tell me there are files missing. I have never seen anything like this, normally after first boot it just continues with install.

I don't know what I am doing wrong - I need help!

Windows 8 and some Windows 7 installations rely on UEFI in the bios to enable the correct OS choice and quick booting of the OS. Reset your bios settings, restart, then go back into the BIOS. Ensure one of the UEFI boot options is enabled and also ensure the hard drive controller is set to AHCI (unless you are using RAID) not IDE.

Remember also to set the system time, not always necessary bit sometimes causes issues.

I did change the drive controller to AHCI, but I could not find a place to change the UEFI in the bios. I tried to load windows 8.1 again and came up with the same problem.
