Hi, I'm just wondering if my rig can run Watch Dogs on maxed out settings.

Lenovo Y510P
Intel i7-4700MQ
Dual Nvidia GeForce 750M SLI

Solution
Recommended:

OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Please note that we only support 64 bit OSs.)
Processor: Eight core – Intel Core i7-3770 @3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 X8 @ 4 GHz
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM – Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 ti or AMD Radeon HD 7850
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 25 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest
Drivers

Considering Recommended settings mean High Settings, and card is slow or matches the 560 ti. and your CPU is not a powerhouse. I would say No, it won't play on Ultra but you can play it on mid to high custom settings.
Probably not, you have midrange laptop GPUs that aren't that powerful, even if SLI works perfectly, you'd probably wind up with performance roughly equal to a lower midrange desktop card. Generally speaking you don't bother with ultra settings on a laptop unless you've splashed out a ton of money for the best mobile GPUs available at the time the game came out, and even then performance might not be that good.

I just saw the recommended spec. My mobile 7970M is equivalent to a HD 7850 but my elderly i7 940XM at 3.1Ghz may show its age in this title. Is this the first game that recommends more than a quad core? Hopefully hyperthreading will still help despite the fairly weak IPC compared to ivybridge and haswell. (Hope I'm not hijacking).

Do you think I would be able to play it on ultra by overclocking my CPU and GPU?

yes you can run WD at ultra with that laptop but only with FXAA and around 40 ~ 50 fps

To be honest, avoid playing that game for too long in a laptop

There are some leaked version of the game already and...
I have one and tried it

However, they are buggy and unoptimised as hell, let's just wait for the final version

You said it yourself the leaked version is bugged and unoptimized probably will run better when final version is out and what more do you want isn't 50 FPS enough for a laptop and don't worry for overheating it doesnt.

Let's hope so since mine is having an audio problem. if it doesn't change then WD will be the most overhyped and overrated game in the 21st century, lol
