I recently purchased this combination of hardware to build a new system.

Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8350
RAM: (2x8GB) Corsair 1600 mhz.
PSU: 750 W

I installed everything last night and the mobo would not post nor give me any beep codes right out the box. This morning I updated the bios using the flashback feature and still no beep codes nor post. The red CPU light stays constant red and I can't determine whether its the CPU or MOB. Tried multiple PSU with no luck and positive all cables are properly connected. I would think if it was the CPU, the motherboard would at least beep. Currently, I am thinking its the Motherboard but I'm not sure. Anybody have any ideas? I'm just about to pull my last hair out!

As someone who is new t tomshardware I am absolutely amazed by everyone who is willing to help so I do appreciate all the help.

That was the first thing I thought of as well. I pulled it out and began removing cards until I was down to the video card ram and cpu. Again nothing. I then began trying different slots for video card, and again nothing. Began trying different DIMM slots for the ram, trying one then the other, and still no beep codes or posting. I even unseated the cpu to check its pins and they were still as they were when I opened the box. Last ditch effort I updated the Bios to latest bios from ASUS and this did not solve a thing. I even removed the processor and still no beep codes.

It is connected and I even tested it on a secondary computer thinking that might be the problem. It worked so I know it is functional. Then, just to humor myself I tried turning it around and connecting it to the opposite poles and still nothing. I was just hoping it wasn't the CPU. I'm considering buying a different board considering all the problems people are having with this motherboard CPU combination.

No pins are missing, bent, or broken as far as I can tell. I can seat back into the socket and falls right into place.

Yea, I agree and I was really looking forward to it. I might return it and look into getting the ASUS Crosshair V Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX. It's either that or I RMA this one and wait for a week.
