Hey, I'm a newbie when it comes to computer hardware etc so please take it easy on me. I'm looking into upgrading my current graphics card in my laptop. Now before everybody says it's impossible, just humor me please and tell me the details no matter how hard it is. I have a Dell XPS 15 L521x i5-3230m 2.6 ghz with 8gb ram and a Nvidia Geforce Gt 630m. and i want to upgrade the graphics card to maybe something like a gt 650m or if there's one better. Also how difficult is it to replace the cpu with a better one? I know it's possible to upgrade the components on some laptops, I am just curious if my laptop has the compatibility to be upgraded. Thanks!

You have the 630m which is soldered onto your motherboard and can not be removed unless you pay someone 90+ dollars an hour to do and it normally takes 2. As far as upgrades go really the only thing that you could do is upgrade to an ssd to make programs load faster, while also getting faster boot times.

Very select laptops have the option to upgrade or swap video cards. In your case it is a chip that is soldered down to your motherboard. So a 650m is out of the question sadly. The i5 is also more than good enough for your laptop. upgrading to anything more than an ssd would be a waste of money.
