I have had my gateway model:Ma6 for only 7 months, and out of the blue the screen shut off. When i was in the middle using my E-mail.
When I try to turn the laptop on. All that will happen is the led circle around the powerbutton will light but nothing will happen no matter how many times I press the button. The battery, when I press down on the button, shows one orange circle and 3 green circles, so it does not SEEM like a defect in the battery.
The machine will not turn on hooked up to an AC either WITHOUT the battery, so it may be an internal problem. THe AC adapter is detected though since when I put the battery BACK IN, the recharge light comes online.
So basically, all that happens is the power buttion lights up. No screen changes, no computer noise, almost like it's dead, yet charging and the battery seem to work.
If anybody knows the possible issue, please mention a cheap repair option.
