I need to know what to get to properly upgrade my PC used primarily for gaming. The computer I have now is not terrible but I can't run Witcher 2 at even half decent settings. I don't know too much about specs or anything but I know i'm running 8GB ram with AMD Raedeon HD 7560D if you need more info feel free to ask for it just let me know where i can find it. I would like to be able to play games at full settings and usually play online based games. By the way my budget is between $750 and 1500

For gaming the most important parts are:A decent PSU, I would prefeer 500 or 550W. If you have too low your computer will crash. Processor is also pretty important atleast get a processor with quad core or even one with sex cores. The graphic card is most important in gaming, I think you will be good with Radeon R9 270X. I don't think you need a new computer, but I think it would be better.

We can't build anything on assumptions, need to know the CPU and PSU first.

The AMD Radeon HD 7560D is the integrated card in the Trinity A8 APU.

So i have finaly got home from work to check what processor my computer has when i click properties on computer it says processor not available but in device manager it says AMD A8-5500 APU

That's a start. Now you need to provide a list of all the components. This'll tell us what you've got that is worth saving. Otherwise, put together a completely new PC.

If the rest of the components are like the CPU, I think you need a completely new PC

how do i find out what componernts i have... and what components are you talking about? 8GB DDR3 AMD Quadcore A8-5500 600W PSU currently running AMD Raedeon HD 7560D. Please let me know what other information you need and as you can probably tell i'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to this. Any help is greatly appreciated

That's it we basicaly have all we need to recommand you something. Now, that CPU you have is good for games, but it is not high end, so in modern games you will have to turn some settings down to medium or this CPU you have will struggle...so as long as you don't mind playing with the ingame settings a little bit to get playable framerates this CPU can do good for you, if you want to play modern games on high or ultra settings this CPU will not do it...what you have to do to get better performance in games and playable framerates in modern games is to get a better GPU (graphics card)...

Something that would keep up with this CPU without being to much bottlenecked by it would be something like a GTX 660 or a radeon HD7870 (or radeon r9 270x wich is the same), you could also want to go with something a little cheaper like a GTX 750ti that would offer acceptable performance in games.
If you want more than that in term of performance in games then you want an all new motherboard with an FX cpu or core i5 and a GTX 760, 770, 780 or a radeon r9 280, 280x or 290...so what do you want in terms of gaming power?

Well you are definitely dead on right every game i play all settings must be on medium with anti-aliasing bloom and reflections turned off among others that takes away from the world the devs have created. I would like to play on ultra settings. I dont know how hard it is to replace these components as i have never done it. Is it something i will be able to do or should i get someone to do it for me or just go with a whole new unit? Also some recommendations for what components or prebuilds i could go with for the ultra high settings. Like i said $750 to 1500 if a couple extra is necessary then no problem.

this is literally my computer minus a case change and smaller psu. I can play everything on ultra. The 4670k is crazy cheap right now! You pretty much cant get a better computer for less imo. Also i love the green look.
