Here is the benchmark: 2014-04-06 10:22:08 - farcry3
Frames: 2551 - Time: 91838ms - Avg: 27.777 - Min: 0 - Max: 33
But in Windowed the FPS is:
2014-04-06 10:32:12 - farcry3
Frames: 7816 - Time: 120000ms - Avg: 65.133 - Min: 53 - Max: 81

You shouldn't try to answer a question if you don't know what you're talking about.

Far Cry 3 has a few extra setting not normally used. With V-sync on, it will normally hit 60 if you can maintain 60 FPS, but there is another setting to allow 2 refreshes per frame with V-sync on, which results in cutting your FPS to 30 on a 60hz screen or 60 on a 120hz screen. You can set it to 3 refreshes per frame as well. I forget the exact name of the setting, but that is a Far Cry 3 feature.

There should be. It's under "Video" in the options and lets you choose vsync frames as well as max buffered frames.

The setting is subject to preference, and max buffered frames affects input lag and the framerate cap depending on your vsync frames.

Max buffered frames doesn't make any difference in frame rate on my system no matter what I set it to, from off - 5, regardless of vsync settings. Simply setting vsync to off has removed the frame rate cap.

I forget the exact name of the setting, but it was confusing in the wording. When I first saw the setting, I thought it was to give you a double or triple buffering option, but it turned out, it was not that at all. It instead was how many refreshes it held the frame for. Turn it to 1 and V-sync works like normal.
