How much ghz is a required to record games

I want to know how much giga hertz is required to record games. I tried recording using bandicam with a 1.6 quad intel atom core processor on Garry's Mod and managed only about 4 fps. So i looking for a processor that can at least have a framerate of 30 fps when recording Garry's Mod or any other games.

As mickypheonix already mentioned, we need more information about your PC hardware parts. Also, the amount of gigahertz alone is not the only deciding factor when it comes to recording performance.
