I accidentally left my PC running for a few hours while I went out and when I came back it was off. The lights on my headphone set and USB wifi receiver were on but when I tried powering it up the LED light on one of the case fans flashed for a second but that was it. This is a barely 5 month old system and I have a spare power supply laying aroud, which is much better than the one in my PC but I never got around to swapping it out. I know my backup PSU works since it was able to power up my old system a few minutes before I tried it in my new one but when I hooked plugged the backup PSU into my PC i still get nothing, not even the light flash from the case fan. I actually have a job building PC's but I'm just starting to learn how to troubleshoot RMA's so I'm not totally sure what the problem is. When this happens on a new build at work I usually just re-seat the CPU and memory and that does the trick but I don't want to do that on my home computer. Since a few of the components light up it doesn't seem like the mobo is the problem but on the other hand since it won't power up with another PSU I can't help but think there's an issue with the main board. I use this website a lot for ideas on decent builds but this I actually signed up just now to post this question and get some advice from the knowledgeable people here.

Mostly Likely something In your system Is fried. Try Finding out what in your computer is working or not. Your Hard Drive,CPU,or MotherBoard must have Fried while you were gone.
