I want to paint the inner case of my Optiplex the colour red, as I believe it will help me with picking up the ladies.

The paint will do fine as its just stainless steel.

The problem is, once I take apart the computer, I'm not sure I'll remember how to connect everything back together. Like the SATA cords and PSU are easy to remember, but then I see all these little cords connecting to the motherboard for the fan and light, and then other stuff connecting to each other.

How can I remember to do this properly? Would the manual have assembly instructions?

Take pictures and document how everything is assembled. The user manual doesn't provide assembly instructions.

Yep I filmed everything while taking it apart, and took notes of all the cables. I should be fine putting it back together.

It will look good once painted, but it may not help you much with picking up the ladies :)

Well that was a waste of time then.

I put it back together, and it booted first try. If anyone else wants to do this, just take notes and film your PC while taking it apart(I had to refer to my video to find out where the SATA cable holders go).
