P5q no post issues

Sorry in new to tomsharware and I wrote the question before creating this post.
My question is that I have an old system
P5q Mb
E8400 cpu
2 x 2 gig corsair xms2 ram 800 MHz
Xfx gts250 gpu
Cool master 700w power supply
Windows 7 64bit
If I use the 8 pin Eatx plug on my mb I get power to fans but no post but if use only the 4pin half of that plug it works fine. The mob is old but the power supply is brand new is there a reason for no post.
My next question is I have the 2 sticks of ram and if I try and run them in the duel channel slot (both yellow or black) I get no post as well but if I run them both in dimm a slots it boots fine. I have an extra pair of corsair 1 gig sticks that I want to use but if I try and put then in in multipul configurations I get no post as well. I have also tried an extra stick of patriot 2 gig stick that I have here and I get the same no post issue if I use them all together. All ram is 800mhz but the pair of 1 gig sticks are 1.9 v not 1.8 like all the others. I would like to get a few more years out of this system as I don't have the funds to build a new i5 or i7 system yet.
Any clues as to why my mb would post with these options I have. It is running at the moments with the 4 gig of ram and I am happy for that but I think alittle more ram just might speed me up alittle.

Same or similar problem here
I have a P5Q SE mobo with 2x 2gb(ddr2,800) everything works fine running in single channel.
Adding antoher stick 2gb the computer isn't stable
And I really need 6gb....
