Whats the best fan controlling software because I have no idea how to set fan speeds in the the Asrock A-tuning software and the 2 230mm fans I have in my system are really loud

i7 4770k haswell
Asrock Z87 Extreme6
8GB of DDR3
stock cpu fan
2 230mm fans

I don't know about other programs that are compatible with your motherboard, but you can use the FAN-Tastic Tuning software/feature that comes with the motherboard. You need to set a curve for your CPU fans (how fast it should go depending on your core temps). Sorry, that's all I could find...

Hi David Levy
you have a few options open to you to control the speed of your two 230mm fans
option 1 - a fan controller
option 2 - a molex to fan speed reducer to 12V (flat out ) to 7v ( slower and less noise ) 5v ( slower still and less noise again )
option 3 - a fan pcb board - a pcb with multiple fan headers on it at various voltages usually is powered from a 4pin molex
option 4 - a single fan speed reducer for each fan a reducer that plugs into a 4 pin molex and to your fan with a dial inbetween for manually adjusting the voltages
option 5 - adjusting fan speed from within the bios - setting fan speed profiles to the rpm you require from headers on your mother board
option 6 - thirdpart software like speedfan http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/speedfan.html

you should also be able to adjust your fan speeds through asrocks oc tuner

+1

But I recommend using the FAN-Tastic Tuning feature/software that comes with your ASRock motherboard (you can find it in your Formula Drive software).

This is how it should look like:

I did and I do not want hardware controlling my fans. I want a piece of software that controls my fans based on my cpu and motherboard temp. and i dont know how to use the a-tuning software and i dont know how to use the bios like that

That isn't a hardware. Your motherboard comes with a free software for controlling your fans speed (I posted a photo of it above in my second post). Hmm I think the only best software way to do it is through the A-Tuning software.

but as I told you I do not know how to Set fan speeds according to CPU temperature

Alright this is from my Asus AI Suite II. Basically it's the same thing. You can see in the picture my custom curve for the CPU fan speeds.

hPjXd1n.jpg

POINTS:
Bottom left point: That is the minimum (and the start point) which is at 30% fan speed when the CPU reaches 20° Celsius.
Middle point: It's set at 67% fan speed when the CPU reaches 38° Celsius.
Top right point: That is the maximum (and the end point) which is set at 100% fan speed when the CPU reaches 50° Celsius.

Then apply.

You can increase/decrease these values depending on your current CPU temps (and also your maximum safe temperature).

If you have any other question please feel free to ask.
