transcend micro sdhc 16gb memory card not detected

my transcend microsdhc 16 gb memory card is not getting detected(via a memory card reader) , it is showing as drive name in my comp but on opening it says tht 'insert a disk in the drive' , i tried through disk mngmnt but it is not showing its size in the list there( showing the capacity as 0) and not giving an option of formatting , tried chkdsk -- /r also ,disk part also ....... any help plz...

found it myself , I used the same card in my laptop and it was detected there , used disk management and formatted it ( quick format unchecked) took 1 and half hours to format and BOOM , my card repaired...
i guess people having these problems should use different systems and card reader , i didnt used the card reader instead i used the card adapter...

there's no other way to fully format it ????:??:

P.S. i have a new memory card reader which reads SDHC cards also
