dont get me wrong, i can play the game, but i have horrible frame drops. and cant seem to stay above 60. i have talked to other players that have a 760, and they run it on ultra, no hickups.
shouldnt i be able to run bf4 on ultra?
my system.
windows 7 ultimate
i5 3570k, oc to 4.4
gigabyte windforce 760 oc 1305hz core
8gb vengeance 1600
620 antec psu

1) If you have VSynch on this will limit the Frames to match the monitor (60Hz), so even if you could go above 60 (which you can't see anyway) your GPU throttles it back
2) TURN OFF THE OC and GO STOCK then TEST AGAIN. OCing is trying to squeeze MORE out of something then it was designed to do, so your running higher RISK that you will have it perform poorer (horrible frame drops) then if left at STOCK.
3) a i5 has less Cores then a i7, thusly the new CPU demands of BF4 bog down a lower core system and you should NOT be running at Ultra, but just at HIGH, especially as a 3570k.
4) Last scores I seen WITH a i7 and a 760 showed 40s to just under 60 http://www.bf4blog.com/battlefield-4-retail-gpu-cpu-benchmarks/ So I dunno about what your friends are talking about.

i am thinkin of sli another 760.. would that be a good idea?
or would my processor limit me in a way?
ill be getting another 8gb of ram in the next few weeks, to see if that helps.
other then that i was going to buy a new 850w psu and get another card.

@OP Increasing the PSU won't change things unless your matching it to a new required card, which honestly except for SLI you don't need anything above 600W normally. SLI can help improve but so few games actually 'customize' for SLI (in fact the latest drivers from Nvidia were noted as having NOTHING for SLI profiles yet they are the 'Titanfall' drivers.... *_* ). I don't go SLI simply because the nextgen of cards (already out and now massively produces, the 8xx series) usually is more cost effective then buying two SLI cards and performs as / better then the SLI combination.

Honestly try some basics first:

Download and run SPECCY, copy and paste the first tab to show your idle temps
Download and run MSI Afterburner, run some of the games that crash, what temps are you getting when underload?
Open Computer, Can Air dust out the bunnies and use paint brush on the vents, coolers, fans, etc.

Did you install all Windows Updates? Including options except BING? Check them and repeat till ALL are installed.
Download and run Slim Drivers, install all the latest updates but you don't need to reboot until you do the last update
Remove whatever AV your using and go to www.filehippo.com and download AVAST! or AVG and do a full system scan - this repeatedly has resolved alot of people issue relying on MS Essentials.
Download Malwarebytes do a full system scan (AV doesn't pick up alot of malware) - this resolved almost ALL other similiar posts to date as most had Malware the AV didn't pick up.
Repeat the AV/Malware scans till the system comes up clean.

yes the only reason i would upgrade my psu is for sli. i also herd they havent had anything for sli latest drivers, but im sure they would be working on them. and if sli is worth it i would deffiantely go for that becuase already having one card which is brand new, and then only spedning another 300$ on the second compared to spending 6-700$ on a new single card.
i use msi afterburner. temps under full load dont go over 60 with fan curve.
i have updated drivers. from nvidia/gigabyte.
also just recently put in an h80i water cooling. and cleaned out my pc.
what are slim drivers?
i use ms security essentials. i am downloading malware bytes as of right now.

MS Security Essentials is a placebo and doesn't actually work well enough to catch most viruses. Both ones I recommended are FREE and are monthly tested by independent labs (with other pay for products) for performance and work near perfect (per the scores). Slim Drivers looks for all the drivers of your computer (again FREE) including ones you may not realize you had legacy instead of up to date. For example someone had lag reason was a old Intel I/O driver was still hanging in there, updated and the drive was loading at full speed reducing lag.
