Topic says it all - just wondering.

Does anybody know?

Thanks!

Unless it makes it run past the CPU's thermal threshold (which I highly doubt) then no, it won't decrease the lifetime.

It'll simply allow it to run at full speed on all threads simultaneously.

I just read in the manual to the Asus Z87-A motherboard that Multicore Enhancement is enabled as default.
They wouldn't do that if it meant they put the cpu at risk, I'll bet.
So I guess it's safe to use :)
