My speakers or headphones will not work when plugged from the back or the front. I've installed the Realtek drivers multiple times with no luck. Troubleshooter always says that it fixed the problem but it still never works. The red "x" near the speaker in the taskbar goes away but when I play audio it comes back again. I've gone into services to start windows audio. Again the red x goes away then comes back. If i try to start it again it says "Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly"

Solution
Just try this: Uninstall all realtek things, then install C-Cleaner https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner - go to Registry on the left sidebar, do a scan and fix the problems listed there. After this go to your device manager (Start > right click on My Computer > manage > Devicemanager) Check if your sound card is not recognized, if it is still there and detected right click on it and hit delete / uninstall. Check the checkbox with "removing driver software also". Then do a reboot and reinstall your realtek driver. Hopefully it helps!
