I need driver for TP-Link WA501G

Solution
Case is solved. I don't need any drivers. and the thing I have, is I need to connect it to my router. then I need a wireless receptor on my pc or laptop which has built in wireless receptor and it will catch the wireless waves from the access point.
and to update the driver of this thing, i need to go on its router site, which you find inside your manual instructions book or google your access point model or something.

I found this by googling http://uk.tp-link.com/article/?faqid=271 and I have another question, how do I upload the .bin file to the site of the router? or i'm supposed to do something else? I couldn't find any place to upload files inside there.

And I checked my Manual instructions... it says

1. First, connect power adapter of TL-WA501G to a wall outlet or power strip.
The POWER LED will light up to indicate proper operation.

2. Secondly, connect the LAN port of the TL-WA501G and switch/router/modem by Ethernet cable.
The LAN LED will light up to indicate proper Ethernet connection.

Tips: The LAN on the TL-WA501G is Auto MDI/MDIX so you can use a straight-through or crossover cable to the LAN Port.

3. Now, with default settings, your wireless adapter will connect to TL-WA501G AP automatically as shown.

What does it mean in the tips? it means i don't need any drivers, i can just plug and it will work?

It depends what you goal is. If you have some issue with the AP and need a software upgrade on the device then you just use the options in the device to load new firmware it just uploads the file thought the browser on the firmware upgrade screen.

If you just want to USE the device you need to do nothing. Your PC itself already has all the drivers to support both ethernet and wireless built into windows.

Be aware this is a AP and not a router

Ok thanks. now how do I upgrade this version or what ever it is? am i using the .bin file and i upload this file to where? please guide me, i'm a bit new to this. tell me where to click and etc. I want latest version because it's always good to have the latest.

I know how to get inside my router site.. but I looked inside for upload.. i clicked on each thing, i went 1 by 1, i didn't see anything where i could upload any files. so i assume i upgrade (upload .bin file ) from somewhere else?

My router is D-Link DSL-2760U/E1

You can't put the tplink firmware on a dlink router.

It is done very similar on the tplinkas the dlink just a different screen. You need to unplug your PC from your router and plug it into the tplink. You need to follow the instructions for the tplink on how to access the device, sometime you must configure ip address on your PC.

Once you get into the tplink screens there is one under system tools that says upgrade firmware.

You really should not need to upgrade firmware at all unless you have some bug.

Can you help? I followed this guide http://www.asiaradio2000.com/TL-WA501G%20and%20TL-WA901N%20settings%20for%202Wire%20modem%20router.pdf

I can't make it work. I connected the Access Point wireless to my PC with the Ethernet cable. and it didn't work. I didn't add any drivers because I didn't have any. Now I tried changing the IP from IPV4 and it didn't work. what should I do?... i really need help. here's a pic of what I did in the settings in the network:

Edit: I also tried plugging the Access Point (AP) to the router and logging in to it's default gateaway ip address and it didn't work. should I setup Static IP when it's plugged to the router? you can see instructions in my third post but these instructions aren't enough.

BY The WAY, my computer isn't wireless computer, i have only LAN Ethernet cable connections to the router.

From the documentation that should work. You plug your PC into the AP with the settings like that and then you should be able to open a web browser at 192.168.1.1 to get access to the settings.

If you still can not get in you need to try to reset the AP. You can hold the reset button and power cycle the device and it should then use the default ip address.

Can't man, do I maybe need wireless receptor on my PC? it's not a laptop, it has no wireless receptors, just regular LAN cable which connects the router. BTW I opened a new thread here http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2095543/connect-wireless-access-point.html#13041684

I tried to connect it to my pc :( and it didn't work, i even tried setting manually Static IP correctly as you can see above in the picture.

But my manual instructions say I need to connect this access point to the router O.O I'm so confused. i did also connect it inside my router.. but nothing works, I've tried setting Static IP also while it was connected to my router... and going to its default gateaway IP 192.168.1.1

Do I need to enable it from my main router or something? it's default gateaway ip is 10.0.0.138 or it doesn't have anything to do with the access point?
