If i plug in my ps3/4 into the monitor will i be able to play in 3d and can i take advantage of some of the monitors features such as the black equalizer and motion blur reduction? Thanks for taking your time to read and reply to this.

Heres the link to the monitors features, specs etc.: http://benq.co.uk/product/monitor/xl2420z

Solution
3D Vision only works on PC with an Nvidia videocard, it's proprietary to Nvidia cards.

You can use a normal 3D TV set and watch Avatar Blueray in 3D, that's about it.

Thanks for your reply. The monitor is certified as Nvidia 3D vision ready so I'm guessing I'm going to have to buy the glasses and emitter separately. Do you know if I can use the black equalizer and motion blur reduction feature when playing ps3 games (check link for more info on those features).

Thanks Alec. My main target is to play the PS3 in 3D as I haven't got round to playing a lot of games i missed on there (with most of those games being 3D compatible) so will the PS3 be able to play in 3D with that monitor? It would also be useful to know if I have to buy 3D glasses and an emitter separately

So i guess that means there's no way of playing the ps3 on a 3D monitor with a good frame rate. If i was to play my pc in 3d with that monitor then will i have to buy an emitter and 3D glasses separately.

The framerate will always be the same on PS3, that has nothing to do with the monitor. You can use the monitor as an ordinary monitor, you just can't use the 3D feature.

And that is correct, you need an Nvidia card that supports 3d vision and the glasses.
