Hi,

I just got MSI TF 7970, and my idle temperatures are 48 and in load 79. Im using two monitors. My fans get up to 70% ingame under load. Is this too high? Thanks

Case seems more than good. If that 79C is your peak temperature, you should be good. No need to worry. Twin Frozr should be running a little cooler than that, though. I'll let someone give their input on that.

I have 4x 120mm fans on side panel (intake), 1x 140mm infront (intake), top 1x 140mm (exhaust), rear 90mm (exhaust). Im more concerned, that my gpu fans are running at 75% at load on 79 degrees.

sounds like you have an msi twin frozr card with the classic crappy tim paste application. many twin frozr users remove the cooler, clean off the thermal paste, and reapply some correctly and put the cooler back on and have temps drop 3-7c.

when you say the card is new, how new? is it still under warranty? i have heard conflicting reports about msi honoring the warranty if the stock cooler is removed. that said, dont remove the stock cooler if its going to destroy your warranty as msi has a great warranty and usually replaces things no questions asked. they cut me a check for $324 a few months back for a dying twin frozr 7950, that was about $60 more than a paid for the card 8 months earlier.

The guy i bought it from said it was new, im not sure about warranty. The thing is when i play battlefield 4 maxed out, i get temps of 80 degrees celsius and my fans goes up to 80% speed, which i assume its not normal. Overral it works ok, but im concerned that with these kind of temps and fan speed card will weaken up in near future.
