My system:
CPU: AMD FX 6350 4.2 GHz
GPU:Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600
M/B:ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
PSU: OCZ ZS 750W 80Plus Bronze
My question is how much of a perfornmance gain will I get and if it is worth it, and what would you suggest me to upgrade in order to play next-gen games smoothly @1080p (and mostly for bf4)

yes you can and should, your motherboard supports crossfire and dual 7950's would be a beast system, especially at 1080p. It'll max out everything with crossfire supported games. I am sure you know that some games don't support crossfire and those games will only use one 7950, but with most of the popular games (BF4 defiantly) it has support and having 2 cards runs exceptionally well.

What about my CPU?Will it bottleneck the cards?

yes, you can and should. I did and got 60-90% performance increase depending on the game and was about 20% better than a single R9-290.
