Display driver has stopped responding and bsod 3b

Ok,so maybe 3 or 4 months ago i started having issues while playing Dota 2...Randomly,out of nowhere ,it minimizes ,i get a message that ''display driver has stopped working and has recovered''.(my graphics card is Radeon HD 7800 series).Later on i started getting Blue screens, also randomly. As in,pc goes into sleep mode,i try to wake it up and get a blue screen.I try to turn it off,it blue screens and restarts. After all that i tried bringing it to a friend and see if he could check it out.He did some stress tests, checked the temp of the graphics card and everything was fine.Next he updated my drivers but the problem still persists...
Also,i've been geting bsod when i shut down games...
I'm running windows 7 professional

More about display driver stopped responding bsod
  1. What are the rest of the specificationss of your pc? e.g psu, ram cpu, mobo. Also, is anything overclocked?
  2. Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.130104-1435)
    Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.8GHz
    Memory: 8192MB RAM
    Nothing is OC'd
Oh and my motherbord is GA-p75-d3
  3. I need more info.

What brand and type is the power supply?
What brand and type is the Processor?
What brand and type is the Memory?
What brand and type is the graphics card?

Anyway if nothing is overclocked my first guess would be it's either a driver problem (but you said that has already been checked) or a PSU problem wich is why i need to know the brand and type of it.
  4. I dont really know the type and brand of the psu xD Embarassing ,i know...But i can tell you i hear a high pitched noise from the it when i turn off the pc and it doesnt go away until i turn it back on.

Well that's coil whine and i think that's a sign of a low quality PSU. Could you open up your case and take a look at the sticker on the PSU and see what's on there? One more thing you could try is to run a memtest (http://memtest.org) to see if your memory is faulty.
  6. Ok,so its a Cooler Master 500w.....Also i sometimes get an error on skype ''Out of system rescources''...Could that be connected to the issue?
  7. Uhh, yeah that sounds odd if you have 8gb ram, i suggest you do a memtest for at least two passes and see if you get any errors.
  8. Ok,so im doing the test right now,1 pass done,no errors so far..Cpu temp is at 55 degrees though,is that normal?
  9. Ok,second pass done,no errors...I'll leave memtest on overnight later, but for now i need to know what are my other options?
