what is normal temp for my cpu?

i have c2q 9300 on 2.5 on stock cooler and my idel temp is around 40-50 and in load it gets to 70-75 is that normal or not?? how to make temps beter??

No, that is too high. The max temp your CPU can endure is 71.4C.

What program are you using to get your temps?
I recommend HWMonitor.

Try getting a new cooler for your CPU.
This is cheap and will work well.

Make sure the heat sink is mounted on the CPU well.
Reapply the thermal paste.

Normal is very subjective and based on the environment, case, and cooling. Although in your case the numbers are a bit high. Do the idle temps really have that wide of a swing? Running no load I would only expect a delta of 5-7 degrees over room temp and it should stay within a fairly narrow range. Make sure the fans are working properly, there is proper airflow through the case, the heatsink and fan surfaces are clean (no dust), and that the heatsink is mounted correctly.
