hard drive installation

i have an old ide 250gb hard drive and an ide to sata converter and i know how to install it, but the
question is that would i have to re-install my drivers or things ore would it just run like nothing has changed apart from the storage space? Thanks

Wouldn't bother. IDE is very slow.

it should just plug in and work. You'll need to connect the IDE/Sata converter and a the PSU in the back. Just format the disk in Windows, done.

But it's terribly slow...
