How do I get a wired adapter connected to my computer

I am about to get a new PC, but in the meantime I want to connect my old compaq presario KQ461AA-ABA SR5421F to the internet with a wired network adapter. When I opened it up, there was not one. How would I install it into my computer?

I am almost sure the system has a built in network card(check above the 3.5mm sound jacks on the back) for wired. You should just have to connect the Ethernet(RJ45) network cable from the modem(or router depending on your setup) to that system.
