Hey guys,

Need help on which pc do i need for 3d modelling because i will be doing a 3d modelling and animation at university and my budget is £1000 to £1500 or more.

If you are like 80 percent into 3d modeling I suggest this build otherwise drop the i7 4930K and asus sabertooth x79 mobo along with the corsair h100i liquid cooler and go for i7 4770K with a hyper 212 evo with only 16 gb RAM and a z87 extreme 4 from asrock, motherboard. If you will be gaming on it a lot also I suggest doing the above and SLI two gtx 780s or even get a single 780ti.

INTEL CORE I7 4930K CPU - EVGA GEFORCE GTX 780 SUPERCLOCKED GRAPHIC CARD - ASUS SABERTOOTH X79 MOTHERBOARD - 4X8 GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 1866 MHZ 32 GB - CORSAIR H100I CPU COOLER - CORSAIR CARBIDE 200 R CABINET - SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2 TB HDD - EVGA SUPERNOVA 750 WATTS PSU - LG DVD WRITER/READER.

Total cost: 1540 £
This should do animation and 3d modeling and of course gaming sorry if i stressed abit but its totally worth it.

For 3d modeling you have to buy Quadro GPU! (Depends on your programs)

Does he really need the black series? If he can he could always go with the WD blue series.

You might want to also look into the NVidia quadro series of workstation GPUs for eg: nq4000, nvs 550...etc. if you can fit it into your budget.

if you really can bump it up to 2000£ you might want to have a look into the intel Xeon CPUs as well about the quadro cards I'm not entirely sure which one. Just reaserch around a bit more to see if you actually need one since workstation gpus are extremely expensive don't forget it also depends what programs you are going to use.
