Asus P6T Intruder Error ruined board?

Currently I am running an Asus P6T mobo with an Intel i7 920 processor. Long story short, I opened up my rig last night and used some compressed air to clean out the dust. I noticed some liquid escaped out of the straw from the can, so I stopped. Now, I am getting a Intruder Detected, System Halt error every time I boot up.

I've read my manual and my jumper for the chassis is on the correct slot. I've swapped known good jumpers and also manual jumped it with my keys. Still getting the error every time. However, the computer will boot up ONLY THE FIRST TIME after I reset the bios settings with a jumper.

This isn't a HUGE deal because I can just leave my computer on all the time, however every time I need to restart I'm going to need to reset my bios.

Does anyone have a fix for this? The only reason why I think that I messed the board up is because I read someone else had the EXACT same scenario happen with the compressed air liquid.

Thanks!

PS. Might as well throw out some new mobo/processor combos that I can buy on a budget lol.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that the Asus P6T does not have this in the bios settings. I searched everywhere and looked it up online, couldn't find anything.

I'm sorry but that doesn't help. I've gone through all the menus in my BIOS twice now. There's a security tab but that only allows me to add a password, which of course I tried and that didn't do anything. Unless the option has an off the wall name and no description i'm pretty sure that there's no BIOS setting for it. I really hope that I'm wrong though. :(

Your MOB is mentioned in the form.

http://www.overclock.net/t/985593/chassis-intruded-fatal-error-system-halted

Problem “Chassis Intruded ! Fatal Error ….. System Halted.”

1.Check if your PC Chassis is closed “A sensor on the chassis most be pushed when closing the cover”.

2.If the problem persist check the Chassis intrusion Jumper on your Mother Board “See the manual user for your Mother Board before removing or changing the place of any Jumper” a jumper most be placed on the in Pin-1 and Pin-2 this is the right jumper position to deactivate the chassis intrusion option after that you should remove the CMOS battery and Clear the CMOS settings by placing the CRLTC jumper on pin 2 and pin 3 for almost 10 Seconds then place it again between Pin 1 and Pin 2 after that put the CMOS battery then start your pc and check if the problem persist again.

3.If non of that work and still have the same problem so this is the final solution. People who want do it should have some electronic repair knowledge on removing dead Micro Chips.

After that try to turn on the computer and there will be at show option for the BIOS press F1 or F2 to the BIOS default settings “Option directly into Windows”. Press F1 go to BIOS setting and setup Date, Time and First Boot option and Save & Exit (F10).

Because you can boot the system there is most likely nothing wrong with the MOB.
Some setting is halting the boot.

Just tried replacing the battery, still same thing. Is there a way that I can load a completely different bios for this board? Maybe a bios that DOES include the function to bypass the intruder error?

Hmm, that's a new idea, but I wouldn't know where to start. I see 4 jumpers on my board but i don't know it well enough to spot a missing one. However, the jumper for the chassis intruder function is still there, I don't think a random jumper would cause this error.
