Farcry 3 giving low fps in my system
Settings are :-
1280x1024 something resolution
All texture on medium still only 20-40 fps averge 28-30 :\

BTW : Gta iv run fine on max settings with 30-62 fps average fps 38-40 on high settings and 1600x900 resolution !

Cod 4 also run on ultra with 60 + fps

Then why farcry 3 too slow :\

The reality is, you need both a better CPU and GPU for Farcry 3. It is a very demanding game, and what you have is not a gaming system, or at best it is a very low level/entry level gaming system. You cannot expect much from it.

To check usage, download MSI Afterburner and monitor the GPU usage. If it is never hitting 99%, the CPU is the weak link. If it is always at 99%, the GPU is the weak link.

Gta 4 in graphic is nothing compared to far cry 3 neither is cod 4 what is your whole system?

Still this card can run any game on 133x.. resolution with 50-60 fps

My system spec :-
intel pentium dual core 2.7ghz
4gb ddr3 ram
300W power supply
sapphire hd r7-240 ddr5 graphic card

No man it cant run it on 50-60 fps i have i5 3350p and gt 640 this gt card is one of the most lower nvidia card and its better than yours http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R7-240-vs-GeForce-GT-640 your cpu isn't good 2 for far cry 3 yeah for gta 4 and cod its enough but not for fc this games recommend i7 cpu

Srry bro, but what do you mean ? should i run my game on 1600x900 resolution ? and what re you saying of gpu usage ? how to check it ?

Exactly.

You should run it at 1600x900 and here is why:

1280*1024 = 1310720 pixels
1600*900 = 1440000 pixels

Its not worth using a non-native resolution and incorrect aspect ratio for 11% less pixels

Those fucks(with excuse) are liars many ppl told me that this cite say that ac4 need a max gpu gtx gtx 470 i have a friend with gtx 660 evga i7 3770k 8 ram and he have low fps on 1600x900 monitor on high the max fps he gets is 45-50 when on sea this cite sucks man

The R7-240 will NOT run "any game at 50-60 frames".

You're getting the right speeds for your system.

lol it run cod 4 max 200 + fps minimum 35 average 55-60 and gta 4 also run on average 40-45 fps at max settings at 1600x900 resolution and all settings on high and water quality is very high!

He should have said, it won't run many modern games at 55-60 FPS.

Cod 4 is 7 years old. GTA 4 is 6 years old, and its performance is almost completely CPU dependent.

Farcry 3 is much newer and more demanding.

COD 4 is a 7 year old game, GTA 4 is a 6 year old game. That is not "any game". I'm sure the 240 will run DOOM at pretty high frames also ;) If you say "any game" you need to mean "ANY game", not "any game that I have at my desk now within 2 feet of me".

The R7 240 will run newer games at lower settings and frames and will run older games pretty well. I can list a dozen or more games that you won't hit 30fps on even medium settings. Far Cry 3, benchmarked at 19 fps at Medium settings at 1920x1080 BF3 ran at 22. We won't mention Crysis ;)
