I have a laptop with an Nvidia Geforce 740m. And i have an external monitor connected. I select extend to second screen and the external monitor projects an extended desktop. However, when i play games, the game will only run full screen in one monitor, while the other shows my desktop. Is there anyway that I run my game using both the monitors acting as one? Or the GPU does not support this feature?

Surround needs 3. There are games that will support 2 without surround/eyefinity. You could also play in windowed with a custom res that spans across all monitors, although not all games will let you set a custom res. There is also software which will act like surround/eyefinity which makes windows see all monitors as one. But even then, games may not give you the correct res options. This is really something you should look into yourself rather than asking here because we'd all just be googling as well since it's dependent on the game.

It wouldn't be if Vision Surround needs 3 monitors. If you just want to play on a larger display, you could just set the larger display as the default display, which I believe should work and set your laptop's display as the extension of the monitor.

Yeah sorry but it's not going to work :(
