Hey guys, I recently purchased a 280x (First time on the red side!) and 700w power supply. I was wondering if in the future I could crossfire and overclock without blowing up my computer.
My specs:
i7-2600k @ 4.5ghz
2 hard drives and 1 ssd
An absurd number of fans
And possibly 2 280x CF
All powered by a 700w 80+ silver.

Also, is the hassle and heat of CF even worth it?

Blackbird is right, r9 280x needs 850w psu to crossfire, I think 800w may work though. But still if you are gaming at 1080p resolution, then you don't need to crossfire it as it can handle ultra with any game on 1080p.
If you play at resolutions higher than 1440p, then you may need to consider crossfire with a bigger power supply. 700w is just not enough for 2 r9 280x.
