I recently bought a new laptop and the support website for the laptop has drivers for version 8 something. The model is 7670m 2gb. My laptop is one of those dual GPU ones with an intel and radeon GPU side by side.

Could someone please post the link(my OS is windows 7 64 bit).

P.S. could you please post a tutorial as well. I know next to nothing as this is my first laptop.

The drivers already installed is version 12 something, but catalyst is not installed.

My laptop is HP Envy 4 1002tx.

*This post has been edited. The original post did not recommend as a first step to use the notebook manufacturer driver. This recommendation has now been added.

For notebooks, it is recommended to use the drivers provided by the notebook manufacturer.

"AMD recommends using the graphics drivers provided by your notebook's manufacturer as the manufacturer may customize the drivers to support the built-in display and the features and functions specific to the notebook. Customized graphics drivers are available for download from most notebook manufacturer's web site. "

If for some reason you want the drivers AMD or Intel provides, here are the links:

If for some reason you want the drivers AMD or Intel provides, here are the links:

AMD notebook drivers: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%207%20-%2064

This will download a "verification tool" which will tell you if your GPU is compatible with the AMD drivers, and download the latest driver.

From AMD:
" ***Important!***

Please note, that the AMD Catalyst Mobility driver package can only be installed on specific AMD Enduro platforms, that are second generation AMD A-series APU, or third generation Intel Core family based.

Please note that all other platforms that do not include support for AMD Enduro Technology are supported through AMD Catalyst Mobility.

The following notebooks are not compatible with this tool:
Notebooks equipped with switchable graphics
Toshiba® notebooks
Sony® VAIO® notebooks
Panasonic® notebooks"

Intel integrated graphics drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx?lang=eng
select 1. Graphics, 2.Laptop graphics drivers, and under point 3 you choose the model of your CPU/integrated graphics.

To find out your CPU model, open start menu, right click on "computer" and click "properties".

The manufacturer's website provides the Version8.15.10.2712 driver, while the one installed is 12.104.0.0(its also newer)
If I could just get CCC without having to update driver,it would be just fine, because I've spent a lot of time trying to get this to work.

*This post has been edited to more clearly reflect that you should use the laptop manufacturer driver.

"AMD recommends using the graphics drivers provided by your notebook's manufacturer as the manufacturer may customize the drivers to support the built-in display and the features and functions specific to the notebook. Customized graphics drivers are available for download from most notebook manufacturer's web site. " - AMD

Use the laptop manufacturers driver.

Another alternative is this driver supplied by AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/auto-detect-tool
It will auto-detect your system and will see if there is a newer driver available supplied by AMD.

*Perhaps the driver version you have installed is the driver supplied by Microsoft Windows. Perhaps it was installed as part of the windows installation, or came with a windows update. Perhaps the reason HP supplies a driver with a lower number is because the windows driver is a generic driver, or did not identify you GPU correctly. Perhaps the driver version number you see is Windows driver naming, perhaps AMD uses different naming.

The reason the CCC software is not installed is because Windows only supplies a driver. Windwos does not install CCC. CCC is a program. A driver pack from HP or AMD will include both the driver and the CCC program. But maybe the quote from AMD in my first post means that the CCC program is not supported on all laptops. In that case the tool will probably only install the driver.

The best option is to install the driver from HP. Perhaps even though the number on the driver name is lower, it could still be a better/newer driver?

Or try testing one of the links to AMD and install the driver from AMD. See what happens. If the result is worse than what you have now: On the page of the first link I gave there is a "AMD safe driver removal" software. Then you could download that, and uninstall the driver. Then you could re-install the windows driver.

I don't have a laptop with both integrated Intel graphics, and another Graphics card from AMD like you have. I might be wrong but from what I understand your GPU's will not run side by side at the same time. The computer will only use one of them. The intel integrated graphics will be used when you are not playing games but just surfing the web etc. The laptop should automatically switch to the AMD graphics when you play games. But make sure the laptop is not in powersaving mode, since then the laptop will keep using the Intel integrated graphics.

You can further customize this switching between graphics cards in CCC I think. Not sure.

There also should exist some way for you to always be running on the AMD graphics. Google it. However that would be unnecessary since the AMD GPU will draw more power and not be needed when just surfing the web.

Perhaps there are also options on switching between cards if you right-click the desktop. Or try looking in the start menu for "control panel".

Is this Ultrabook the product you have? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5317852

If you're unsure, here is a link for how to determine what model you have:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c03754824&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en

Here is a link to the graphics driver HP supplies: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5317852#N608

The AMD driver includes CCC. So just install that and you should be fine.

I think the Best Answer should be changed - clearly for laptops going to the laptop's manufacturer is the correct solution. I went through this for a friends Sony - tried AMD first until I found out Sony has custom drivers.

There's no need for that... I can update the post with this recommendation.

I get that you can edit a post and put what info is needed - just means it should not have been selected as BA as it was - period. If you are going to seriously alter the contents of a post - make a new one. That way everybody that comments on the post prior will not look like idiots. If you do not want to do that - show the info that was edited.

I didn't mean to make you look like an idiot. I will edit my post to reflect that it was edited. ;)

hmm.. for catalyst driver, AMD didn't support the driver on official amd website for AMD/Intel switchable graphic laptop.. you can only download the graphic driver from your laptop manufacturer website. But yeah, usually the driver from laptop manufacturer always outdated. If you want to install latest catalyst on AMD/Intel switchable graphic laptop, there is another solution for that.. you can try 3rd party driver.. The driver called UniFL
official website: http://leshcatlabs.net/
download link: http://leshcatlabs.net/downloads_unfil/
user manual: http://leshcatlabs.net/manual_chm/
Latest version support catalyst 14.4..
you need to make sure to clean uninstall your old graphic driver first by following the guide on user manual.
Download the latest version of UniFL then extract it
the install process is pretty simple but require admin privilege ---> Just Right Click the file "Unifl_Installation_Assistant.bat"-> run as administrator-> then follow the install guide..
Hope it can help... i have dell 7520se with 7730m that using this driver, already test it on win7 x64...
