US Nespresso Essenza in the UK

I brought my Nespresso Essenza machine with me from the US. I now notice the bottom sticker says 120w.

What exactly do I need in order to use it here? Is an adapter enough or do i need a power transformer?

What would happen if I plug it in right now?

You must use a step down transformer or you will permanently damage the device. I know from personal experience. Do not connect directly with just an adapter if you have standard UK power.
