hello everyone ^_^

http://www.walmart.com/ip/iBUYPOWER-Gamer-Power-WA557AP...

i bought this computer then i noticed that my cpu temp is like 78-85 without really doing anything.. even on google chrome. my friend says that its because my cpu and gpu are together since its integrated and that if i got a graphics card that my comp wont run laggy when playing league of legends and it would also cool down my computer because it wont be using the integrated graphics + cpu or something..

anyways i was looking at this graphics card to buy since its in my budget range

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

but it says if u look it needs a 500 watt power supply and my comp only came with a 300 if u look at both links. so i was wondering whats a power supply i can get to run everything thanks!

Your A10 should not be going much higher than 70. I dont think its possible for it to run at 85 because it would have been throttling like crazy if it reached 80. What program are you using to monitor the temps? If you can stretch your budget, the best gpu to get would be a GTX 750 Ti without a 6 pin connector. If you can't, get the regular GTX 750. Make sure that the cards do not have a 6 pin connector since 300w power supplies dont have them. You can run a 750/ti without a 6 pin connector on a 300w psu even if the requirements say it needs more than 300w.

gtx650 would be way better than the intergrated 8670d of the apu. i would preffer gtx750ti. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-gtx750tioc... as for the psu http://pcpartpicker.com/part/antec-power-supply-vp450 or http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b1050... would be more than enough!and make sure you get an aftermarket cpu cooler cause the stock one is lame and your temps are really high!

both are decent psu units. you will hardly find any better in that money!also to avoid upgrading your cpu cooler you can re apply an aftermarket thermal compound and make sure you have decent aiflow in your tower!

a generic psu of 300w would more likely have 240w on the 12v rail and 240/12=20A which is the recommendation of 750ti
i wouldnt trust my hardware on a low quality psu working maxed out all the time. it may work but better have a decent psu with a bit of a headroom and for o/c

with such psu you will have a power stable machine and with the cooler very nice temps and o/c ability! and with 750ti improved gpu performance! all these are good quality and highy recommended by the community!:)

Depends on what CPU you are using, but you don't disable it it's something you control through BIOS but you shouldn't have to if you don't want too.

as i mentiomed erlier, since your not planning an overclock you may lower your cpu temps by reapplaying the thermal paste to avoid the cpu cooler upgrade! also after upgrading to a dedicated gpu it wont operate as an APU anymore. with the intergrated gpu disabled the temps of the cpu may decrease under load!

yes i put paste like 3days ago artic silver 5. but temps are still like 78-85 or so. :/  so maybe ill buy the power supply and the gtx 750 ti first to see temps and if anything buy that cpu cooler later on

There is no way the temps is over 80 though. I dont think your monitoring program is working correctly. Try coretemp and realtemp
