Topic says it all, really.
I'm wondering what the difference between a XFX Core Edition 850W and a XFX Pro Series 850W is.
On the company's homepage I can find no information about any Core Edition-series of PSUs.

Thanks!

the pro series is the next step up and is gold rated i believe while the core is bronze. Also has better voltage regulation.

The core has a bronze efficiency rating and not modular. The PRO is fully modular and has a gold efficiency rating.

the pro and core series are both XFX designed psus made by seasonic and are solid psus. the biggest difference is the efficiency rating of the two. The pro series are all silver and higher, the core are all bronze and lower. That said, the pro series XFX are widely considered to be some of the best psus on the market. The core series is very good but not elite.

*as a disclaimer: I do own an XFX 750W Pro PSU... It's a fantastic psu, best one i've ever personally owned.

right on 2 out of 4... a number of the Pro series psus are silver rated or semi modular... in fact the pro series is an evolution of the original XXX edition xfx psus... the psus based on the XXX versions are all silver efficiency and semi modular.

XFX now calls their former Pro Series Core Edition as the Pro Series Full Wired Edition.

The Core Edition has always been part of the Pro Series.
