I am shopping around for a good gaming PC that will be able to play games such as Guild Wars 2 or WoW at max settings. My budget is about 1,000 USD. I'm really inexperienced when it comes to desktops since I have used laptops for many years.

At Micro Center they recommended:

Computer:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/423699/Envy_700-074_...

Video Card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Power Supply:

http://www.microcenter.com/product/399981/Builder_Serie...

Total 974.00

Any suggestions, opinions, etc? I was also shopping on Cyberpowerpc or Ibuypower if anyone knows if they are good companies.

Update: Browsing through old posts from when I was shopping last year I found this suggestion, and edited the video card.

After a year, is this build still well put together?

Thanks!

Thanks. That looks pretty solid. Is that capable of adding a second monitor and getting an SSD drive down the road?

SSD for sure yes. The 770 is a strong card but don't expect to max games across multi monitors, at least the demanding ones.

Alright. Thank you very much.

I don't plan on running the games on multiple monitors. I meant only having the desktop and internet browsing on one, game on the other.
