Replacement Motherboard Advice

I currently have an ASUS P8P67-M B3 Revision Motherboard that is giving me an overheating warning on most cold boots. If I tell it to ignore the "problem" or it boots to Windows without the error message the temperatures in HW Monitor show normal.
I contacted ASUS support and they were less than helpful. The board has never been overclocked and with the new problem I couldn't if I wanted to. Resetting the BIOS to default makes no difference.
I doubt there is anything really wrong but think it might be smart to get a new board and keep the current parts. These include an i7-2600K, 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX760 video card.
What board would be the best replacement for this one?

if it the cpu error it could be the intel fan is falling to spin up and or has the sensor in the fan has gone bad. send inte lemail see if the cpu fan is covered or not. the mb should be still under asus warranty they have a long warranty on there parts.
the h87 or a z77 mb would be upgrade replacement.

I have a Corsair water cooling setup for the CPU that is about one year old. The previous one had to be replaced after one of the case fans rubbed a hole in the coolant line :(. As I mentioned using HW Monitor or Nvidia's System Monitor both show the CPU core temperatures as being around 45C. The only temperature that is suspect in HW Monitor is the CPUTIN at around 85C. I don't know if that is a valid reading or a problem with the program.
