Hey guys i have an old rig with two 270x and had ran three 1920x1080 monitors running at 5760x1080 and it ran well but now have two 780 on those screens and was looking for a new monitor set up for the 270x rig...theyre only 2gig cards would they run a single 4k monitor or what other options would work best

depends on the game of course, but for most modern demanding games on max settings, such as BF4, no. It uses 2.7GB on 3 monitors (1680x1050) and 2x 270x is not enough grunt for 4k either. Of course, if you reduce the quality settings and turn off MSAA then it might..

You can pick up 1680x1050 monitors pretty cheap ($70-80) and they are about 1MP less resolution than 3x1080 monitors, which places a bit less stress on the GPUs. I'd recommend 3 of these as the vertical resolution is almost the same as 1080 and the horizontal resolution is less, but still fills your field of view. I don't know how much better 4k looks on a moving image, but I prefer my FOV to be filled horizontally.

lack of power? as in gpu power im alittle confused i played bf4 maxed out in all settings and never had a lack of gpu i ran short of vram thats for sure but i had a very playable system on my three 1920 monitors i however could not play titanfall on all the max settings but again that was a vram issue so im not really sure why you guys thing it wouldn't run one 4k can you explain

Generally speaking, unless you are ok with 30 FPS, you won't have the GPU horsepower to run 4k resolutions with high settings. If you are only using medium settings and no AA, you very well may not need more than 2Gb of VRAM.

Of course 4k is like 4 of your 1080p monitors, and if you are playing at 30ish FPS, things may be different, but 30 FPS on a mouse driven game sounds painful. You should turn settings down and play at 45+ FPS at the least.
