Hello, I just built a computer with the following specs:

Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5GHz Quad Core Processor
Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3 Desktop Motherboard
Patriot Viper 3 8GB (2 X 4GB) DDR3 1600 Memory
WD 2TB 7200 RPM Hard Drive
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
Corsair 200R Mid Tower Computer Case
Corsair CXM CX500M 500W Modular Power Supply
Windows 7 Home Premium

When I pressed the power button the computer did not turn on. I am pretty sure it has to do with the power supply because apparently it is not compatible with Haswell CPUs. Any ideas what may have caused the problem? Any solutions?

Reading through the linked article I got the impression this only affected sleep mode. Perhaps I am missing something? They also suggested that the CX series would actually not have a problem with this issue, but again this was just a quick scan and I might be missing something. (actually they said the compatibility with the 500 was "to be determined")

Anyway, i suggest you double check all your connections, that is usually whu a first build fails to power on.
