I have a 60Gb SSD lying around, and since i want to re-install my OS i might as well put my SSD to use, if i use windows install disk and install windows on my SSD how would i go about getting everything off my old HDD, i dont care about files or anything, i have everything important on an external drive.

Solution
Well, if you install everything from scratch to the SSD you don't need the HDD for anything.

If you're talking about programs, you're going to have to reinstall all of them. There's no consistent way to get everything from the HDD to the SSD without something screwing up.

I only have a 60GB SSD i plan to use it only to boot, I dont care about any of the current files on my HDD however i still need to use it to store programs, is there an easy way to clear my HDD because everything i see involves magic tricks and shit i know nothing about.

Thanks
