I'm building a PC and my mobo doesn't come with built in wifi so I'm gonna need a network adapter, but how do I know which is best? I went to Best Buy and found some that said N300, N600, N900 etc but I'm not sure which to pick. Idk if it needs to be compatible with my modem or what but I have a Motorola SBV5220 SURFboard cable modem and if I check my wifi status on my laptop under speed it says 72.2Mbps so I'm assuming I won't need to pay extra for a 300Mbps WNA as I'll be limited by my connect anyways. Again I know nothing about this but that's just info that might be helpful for adapter suggestions

you must lave theo router connected to the modem and use wired to the router or wireless as benn ask on the post so you need a adapter like the on i post in the link ,if you connect directly to the modem with the pc your router wont receive internet and no one will be able to have execpt the pc .

referring to page 11 of the modem pdf, I can just connect the modem directly to the PC and still be connected to the router for wifi for other devices around the house?
